Role of Pastoral Care Ministry at Brindabella Baptist Church

 

To respond to the pastoral care needs within the church community and to build up and strengthen the emotional and spiritual core of the body. Do this by forming a pastoral care team and developing a pastoral care network.

 

Role of the Pastoral Care Ministry Leader

 

·      Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, seek God’s vision and plan for pastoral care at Brindabella Baptist Church.

·      Prayerfully develop strategies that build a caring ethos at Brindabella Baptist Church.

·      Identify people that have the spiritual gifts suitable for pastoral care, train them and build them into a team.

·      Cultivate a network for crisis care and recovery ministry support

 (for grief, sickness, emergencies, addiction).

·      Delegate the care of needs to the appropriate ministry area.

·      Co-ordinate, encourage the integration of newcomers.

·        Co-ordinate and undertake pastoral visitation.

·        Co-ordinate, build and maintain small groups within Brindabella Baptist Church.
